Holocaust Museum

Here's Mike Gordon, another Common Threader, in the Hall of Remembrance at the Holocaust Museum. This is the only place in the museum where you can take photos.

D.C. trip

Here's a photo I took on the Common Threads' trip to Washington, D.C. This is Octavio Jones relaxing in the hotel room after visiting the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.

While I was taking pictures of the hair models, this cat jumped on the sofa and began demanding my attention, so I took a picture of it. It's almost like it wants to be a model, too. I used a flash bounced off the ceiling for this one.

Here's the same woman in a different posture. Wish their was something I could do about that distracting light at the top, but it still looks pretty nice.

Hair model

One of my housemates is a hairstylist and I took some shots for her portfolio. On this one I just used the natural light coming through the window and the tinted light from a lamp. I had the camera set on ISO 800 and it's got that grainy look that I really like.

Dudley High School running back Kyree Ward, 17, relaxes in what he calls "home," the end zone at Dudley Stadium. I only had about 15 minutes of sunlight available when I took the picture, so I used a flash on the left and the fading sun as a fill light. I tried some shots where he wasn't centered in the photo but those just didn't seem to capture who he was.
