The Two-Dollar Pistols also played with Jason Ringenberg. Everyone seemed to have a great time.

Jason Ringenberg
I went and saw Jason Ringenberg last Saturday at the Garage in Winston-Salem. It was a great show. He was the former frontman for the '80s cowpunk band Jason and the Scorchers. He played some of their stuff and some of his newer songs, as well as a couple of numbers from his alter ego "Farmer Jason."
Greensboro-Palestine Solidarity Network
The Greensboro-Palestine Solidarity Network held a cultural event last Thursday at the Hive on Grove Street. The evening included food, a film and folk dancing.

Tiny Meteors
Here's Kemp Stroble with Tiny Meteors at the Green Bean in Greensboro. Giant and the Bronze Chorus were also on the bill. I wish I'd taken pictures of the Zegota show earlier this month, but I was doing sound and didn't have time.

Anti-torture protest
Sam Sullivan recovers from a waterboarding demonstration during a protest in Greensboro against the U.S. detention center in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Some people say waterboarding is torture and some say it isn't, but it didn't look very fun to me.

Tom Rowan, another view
Here's another one I took of Tom from outside the window, using a flash resting on the table to illuminate his face. He was looking for a photo that didn't emphasize his face so much. I like this one better than the first one.
